We usually respond within three days
About The Back Room
We exist to free our clients' time so they can focus on what they do best — growing their business. We deliver smart, efficient solutions that liberate teams from the everyday admin, and we hold ourselves to the same standard. Time is the ultimate currency, and we treat it like it.
About the Enablement Team
The Enablement team builds the software that powers The Back Room — internal tools that liberate our team from manual work, and client-facing products that do the same for our customers. We also run the AI Masterclass training programme, helping clients get more from AI in their own businesses.
As the function scales, we need someone to keep the engine running smoothly across both streams.
The Role
As Project Lead, you’ll own delivery coordination across our software development workstreams. You’ll be the connective tissue between developers, training leads, internal stakeholders, and clients — turning competing priorities into a clear path forward and making sure nothing slips between the cracks.
This is a role for someone who thrives on structure but isn’t allergic to ambiguity. You’ll bring rhythm, focus, and calm confidence to a fast-moving team — and you’ll help us turn growth into freedom rather than friction.
What You'll Do
Own the end-to-end project lifecycle for our internal and client-facing software builds
Run sprint planning, stand-ups, retros, and releases — keeping the team in flow and on track
Coordinate cross-functionally between developers, training delivery, design, and client-facing teams
Maintain a single, clear source of truth for project status, risks, and dependencies
Surface risks early and remove blockers before they become bottlenecks
Report on delivery progress to senior leadership with confidence and clarity
Continuously improve how we work — playbooks, tooling, rituals
Partner with the Senior Enablement Manager on capacity planning and prioritisation
What We're Looking For
4+ years of project management experience, ideally in a software development environment
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum methodologies
Proven track record managing multiple parallel projects and stakeholders
Excellent communication and stakeholder management — calm, clear, and confident
Comfortable with project management tools (Jira, Asana, Monday.com, or similar)
Pragmatic — you know when to be process-driven and when to flex
A self-starter who treats time as a resource worth protecting
Nice to Have
Experience in a learning & development or training environment
Familiarity with AI/ML projects or AI-focused training programmes
Formal certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or equivalent)
Client-facing experience in a professional services or consultancy environment
Why This Role
A culture built on freedom — autonomy, trust, and the space to do meaningful work
Bold, ambitious projects spanning software and L&D
A team that genuinely values smart, efficient ways of working
Competitive salary, benefits, and flexibility
Real opportunity for growth as the function scales

Workplace, Culture & Diversity
At The Back Room, culture isn't an afterthought; it's how we operate. We're guided by a simple purpose: Nurture, Grow, Delight for our team just as much as for our clients.
We've built an environment where people are trusted to do great work, supported to keep growing, and genuinely looked after along the way. That means real investment in training and development, leaders who show up for their teams, and a workplace where equal opportunity isn't just a policy; it's how decisions get made
We're proud to be recognised as one of HR Asia's Best Companies to Work For, a reflection of the team we've built and the culture we protect.
